- Please find attached English, Afrikaans and Sesotho soundbites.
The purpose was to inform residents about the handing over of a petition with more than 9600 signatures against the blanket rise of municipal rates and taxes that are in the draft budget.
The DA Mangaung outlines the deficiencies in the budget and IDP process, the inadequate public participation and how the opposition parties are excluded in the budget steering committee. The content and credibility of the draft budget is insubstantial.
The aim was also to share the DA’s input and proposal for a budget that supports economic recovery post Covid 19 lockdown.
