Q: Our area always had loadshedding at Group X times, now we suddenly have loadshedding at Group Y times. How is that possible?
A: From my experience it is possible that your area now recieves electricity from a different substation due to a incident that caused a problem with the supply from the previous subsation neccesitated that the ‘back up’ or ‘ring feed’ cable from another station to be used to supply your area with electricity.
Q: My area is part of Group X but we have loadshedding at Group Y times?
A: Make sure whether your suburb is not part of more than one group. That might mean that you are in the part of your suburb that is part of Group X and not Group Y
Q: Our area is scheduled for 08:00 to 10:00. Why is our power still of at 10:25?
A: There is 30 minutes after the two hours loadshedding inwhich areas are switched on again, and new areas switched off, in order to keep the total electricity load stable. Thus yo7 can regard loadshedding as 2 1/2 hours
Q: We get our electricity from Eskom, which group are we in?
A: You will have to check at loadshedding.eskom.co.za
Q: We are living in the suburb of **Matjiesfontein**, which group are we in?
A: You can check which group your suburb falls under at Centlec Loadshedding or check the schedules availaboe on the Centlec website or on Google Drive at LoadSheddimg Schedules Centlec or using the Loadshedding Notifier App.
Q: Our Suburb is part of two groups. Do we have loadshedding twice a day?
A: No, you will only be part of one group. You will have to wait to see when you electricity goes off, to find out in which group you currently fall
1) If your electricity stays _off longer than the indicated times_, you should contact Centlec.
2) If you have any _questions_, contact Centlec.
3) A few cases has been reported to us where it possibly seems a _part of a suburb goes of at different times than the groups they are allocated_. In this case, check in which groups timeslot your electricity goes off, and follow the times for this group.
4) The times and groups of different suburbs are supplied by Centlec. Unfortuneately the information I supply is _only as accurate as Centlec implements it_.
